The World Trade Center Cape Town and the World Trade Center Lusaka to rub shoulders with Hillary Clinton and African leaders at AGOA Forum Zambia in June
The 10th annual African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) Forum is taking place in Zambia on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th June 2011 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre. The World Trade Center Cape Town will be present in support and will announce the launch of the World Trade Center Lusaka. We shall be promoting all our World Trade Center (WTC) partnerships and distributing our WTC publications; Diplomat magazine and the Best of Africa series.
It is anticipated that attendance will include that of heavyweights from US and African private sectors as well representatives of civil society organisations. In addition to the Ministers of Trade and Industry, Ministers of Agriculture, Transport and Finance and representatives from the World Trade Centers of Africa including WTC Lusaka and Cape Town invited to attend, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is to visit . Joining her will be Trade Representative Ambassador Ron Kirk and other senior officials from the US Government, whose aim is to discuss ways to advance the US-Africa relationship on trade and investment.
The theme is ‘Enhanced Trade Through Increased Competitiveness, Value Addition and Deeper Regional Integration’. The US Embassy has affirmed AGOA as the centerpiece of America’s trade and investment co-operation with Africa.
